Risley hall is fine! The architecture is excellent, especially the grand entrance. Our room was cozy and had a huge bath. We really enjoyed the friendly service from adele at check-in and the smooth experience all around. Worth mentioning, the location is great for exploring the area.
the lack of hot water was disappointing.

We spent 1 night in family room. The bed was large, and there were a flat screen TV, a dining area and a writing desk too.

Good place with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely bar area. The staff helped me with a late departure on my first stay, and they're always kind. I'm coming back for Christmas.

The hotel was pleasant and attractive, really enjoyed garden view from our double room. The location was stunning and exceptional, in the main restaurant and the interior design was modern. Moreover, its next to the walls, the centre of the page. The food at the continental breakfast was delicious.

The breakfast was very good and had a large selection of additional fresh offers (fruit, cheese, sausage, etc.).
The room was under the roof and therefore very hot; yes, indeed: hot. The small fan could not help and air conditioning was only available in the corridor.

The hotel was was made up of some lovely old buildings set in attractive grounds and the hotel staff were extreemly friendly and helpful. We booked a twin room but were actualyl given a beautiful suite with a separate sitting room and an enormous bathroom. We had a very nice dinner and a comfortable nights sleep. I would definitely stay there again.

Returning because of happy memories 15 years previously. Spacious garden and nice walk, using the pool, enjoying the lovely old building and decor, good breakfast with black pudding.
Seemed a little run down

The setting and the beautiful landscaped gardens, also the spa facilities. Fabulous location for a wedding or a relaxing weekend away. Excellent full english a la carte breakfast menu included in room rates and free parking. My daughter loved the bed with drapes, but really wanted to sleep in one of the four poster beds. Unfortunately she could not as the hotel was full as a wedding was in progress.
Bathrooms were a little tired looking, could really do with a makeover, but we used the spa, pool showers etc., also a very limited dining menu. If there had being more of a choice, we would have eaten there instead of going elsewhere as the prices were very reasonable.

My room was excellent although I suspect that the rooms in the older part of the hotel (where I was) are better than those in the modern extension. Staff very polite and efficient. Hotel nice and quiet. Good parking, easy to find location.
Nothing much - it was a very enjoyable stay.

It was the right location and the perfect amount of comfort for a one-night stay. We would have been very happy to have spent longer and enjoyed some of the facilities.
